Dear Kane boys, I would like to extend my sincere sympathies to all of you on the passing of your mom. Over the years your mom and I had many conversations about teaching. She was always so thoughtful and a very caring person. I hope you will always be able to cherish the wonderful memories that you have of your mom. Sincerely, Sue Wunderlich

The Kane Family is on my mind and in my prayers. I have many fond memories of Ann during my college days...coming over to the Kane house. She was always kind, generous, and loving to all that entered her house. She blessed this world with a three amazing kids that will, without a doubt, continue to spread this joy for years to come.

To the Kane Family: I am sorry to hear about Ann's death. It is never easy to deal with the death of a loved one no matter the circumstances. It is times like this that make us look even more forward to when God will remove death from the earth (Isaiah 25:8).

I first met Ann when Joe and I got engaged. I was at an engagement party with al lot of Kane's and other members of Joe's family. I liked Ann immediately. She made me feel comfortable and kept the Kane names straight in my head. What a kind and considerate lady. You will be missed. The picture is of Jack Christensen, Ann Kane, me and Joe at a charity outing at Carillon. We didn't win anything, but we sure did have fun. Since Joe and I have been married for 48 years, that engagement party was a long time ago.

Ann and I were Friends a long time. We go way back to the Joliet Beach Club when our children were
young. We had such fun times together swimming and enjoying Potluck Dinners at the Beach Club.
After the Joliet Beach Club closed in the 80's wehad to find another gathering place to swim and have
fun. That we did, thanks to our friend Jan Challender who guided us to the Centennial Beach in
Naperville, Il. So the "Beach Bums" that we were, began going swimming there. We had so much fun
and we met other "Beach Bums" from Naperville. So the Beach Group became larger!
We really enjoyed swimming and being together. Ann was the BEST SWIMMER in the whole crew.
Her swimming abilities were really Great. In fact, the latest Spectacular thing she accomplished
was the dive that she performed off the High Diving Board when she was 80 years old. She was
determined to do it, and she did. But that was Ann; when she made up her mind to do something
she did it.
May God be with you Forever, Ann. I'll always remember you, my Friend!
Love You Always,
Bernie Spieler
