Obituary of Donna Raub

Donna M. Raub (nee Trubich) Age 71, of Shorewood, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 1, 2015 with her family by her side at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born March 12, 1944 in Joliet, she was a graduate of St. Francis Academy, Class of 1962. For 27 years, she worked as a waitress for Cemeno's Pizza. Donna was very artistic, enjoying crafts and sewing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was loving and caring, always giving to others before thinking of herself. Surviving are her beloved husband of 52 years, Harold L. Raub of Shorewood; three children, Michael (Elizabeth) Raub of Mulino, OR, Kristin (Douglas) Lawler of Shorewood, and Daniel (Christine) Raub of Plainfield; five grandchildren, Michael B. Raub, Megan (Jeff) Maynard, Doug Nelson, Cody Raub and Ashley Raub; two great-grandsons, Evan and Kaleb; one sister, Nancy (Jim) LaCloche of Joliet; one brother, Jack Trubich of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Rosie. Preceded by her parents, John and Gladys (nee Boyne) Trubich; and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Modlin. The family would like to thank Dr. John Walsh and the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Medical Center ICU. Funeral Services for Donna Raub were private. Cremation Rites were accorded.
