Obituary of Peter T. Boreman

Peter T. Boreman passed away at the age of 66 on Saturday, May 31, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Peter, the son of the late Walter and Mary (nee McArdle) Boreman, was born on May 5, 1959, in Chicago, IL.

Peter was a Local 150 Operators Union Inspector and was also a proud member of Local 1 Iron Workers.

Being with his family, especially his grandchildren, brought him great joy.  He loved his career and going to work each day. Peter had the kindest heart and looked out for everyone. He loved drinking Pepsi, but he treasured his daily morning tea with his wife before work.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette; his children, Christie (Frank) Miocic, Peter (Krystyna) Boreman II, Benjamin (fiancé Anastasia Martin) Boreman; grandchildren, Blaz Miocic, Madison Miocic, Amilia Boreman, Alexander Boreman, and Aria Boreman; his siblings, Catherine (the late Jim) Schnur, Debbie (Paul) Kunis, Mary (Robert) Berry, Janet (Dennis) Hanson, and William (Debi) Boreman; nieces, nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Boreman II; sister, Sharon (Dan) MacGlashing; and mother-in-law, Jeannette Rossow.

Visitation for Peter T. Boreman will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
