Obituary of James Klover SR
Klover, Sr. James P.
Age 80, of Shorewood, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Born October 10, 1931 in Joliet, he was a graduate of St. Patrick's Grade School and Joliet Central High School. He was a proud 60 year member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #422, serving several terms on the Executive Board. He was also a former school board member, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid White Sox and race fan. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted, faithful and caring husband and father.
Survived by his wife, Janet J. (nee Drifus) Klover of Shorewood; six children, Kristin (Kenneth) Buff of Greenwell Springs, LA, James P. Klover Jr. of Vanceburg, KY, Michael Klover of Wauconda, Mary (Ronald) Forsythe of Marseilles, Lisa (Jeffrey) Minger of Crest Hill and Matthew Klover of Joliet; thirteen grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; two sisters, Joan Benedict and Marilyn (Michael) Tanner; one brother, William (Margaret) Klover; one sister-in-law, Gloria (Ernest) Dalpos of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his two daughters, Deborah Baroni and Lauretta Klover; his parents, Peter J. and Margaret (nee Van Duyne) Klover; brother-in-law, John (Marylou) Drifus; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services for James P. Klover, Sr. will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
