Obituary of Robert Kuban
Kuban, Robert P. "Bob"
Age 55, passed away suddenly, February 23, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1955 in Joliet to the late Anna Jane (Wilhelmi) and Joseph J. Kuban and was a lifetime area resident. He attended St. Bernard grade school and graduated with the class of 1973 at Joliet Catholic High where he was a member of the football team. Bob was employed by the Will County Highway Commission, then the Streets Department of the City of Joliet and then became a Police officer with JPD after attending Cadet School, serving for 15 years and especially enjoying being an undercover agent. Bob is survived by three brothers, Joseph J. "Jim" (Judith) , Stephen R. (Karen) and Michael J. (Patricia) Kuban; two sisters, Joann K. (George) Buck and Rosemary A. (Greg) Skole. Also his close friend Emily Lucas, two uncles, Thomas (Regina) and Vincent (Kay) Wilhelmi as well as nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. Bob was an avid woodworker, an umpire for Belmont Little League and a member of FOP #58. As a genuine and giving person, others will benefit from Bob's choice of organ donation through the Gift of Hope of Illinois. All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until a Memorial Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Sterling and High Streets in Joliet. Entombment of ashes will take place at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, Romeoville. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred. arrangements by:
