Robert "Bob" Kubinski
Age 91. Entered eternal life on March 19, 2011 at Our Lady of Angels.
Born in Joliet to the late Frank and Helen Kubinski. Preceded by his beloved wife Martha(Bunny) nee Reichardt (1984). Also preceded by all of his six siblings, Edward (late Mary), Grace (late Richard) Jungels, Juel (late Thomas)Cavanaugh, Dorothy (late Raymond) Hilt, Joseph (late Phyllis) and William. Also preceded by nieces Marilee Kubinski and Karen Litchfield and great-niece Jenny (Jungels) Colnar.
Survived by nephews nieces, Edward (Judy) Kubinski, Robert (Jean) Kubinski, Judy (William) Stafford, Jean (Larry) Condon, Pamela Baumgtartner, Thomas (Patricia) Kubinski, Richard (Diana) Jungels, Marsha (Edward) Etheridge, Joyce Narducci, Kathy (late John) Wilhelmi, Maureen (Ken) Jaszczak, David (Jane) Hilt, Susan (Dale) Marschner, Linda (late Mike) Quiram, DeeDee (David) Carlson, Jeff (Diane) Kubinski. Sister-in-law, Louise (late William) Kubinski and lifelong friend Jim Telfer. Numerous great-nephews and great-nieces also survive.
Lifelong Joliet resident. Decorated Army Veteran WWII in the North African Campaign. In his early years, Bob played fastpitch softball for Rivals AC. Was dubbed "The Babe Ruth of Softball" locally as a result of his homerun hitting ability. He was a retired construction tradesman. He was an avid fan of the Cubs and horseracing and loved to fish.
A Celebration of Life for Robert F. Kubinski will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Visitation THURSDAY MORNING 8:00 a.m. until time of services at:
