Obituary of James Landaiche
James P. Landaiche
Age 85. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, with his family by his side, as the result of complications arising from a stroke. Born in Donaldsonville, LA, he was a long time Joliet area resident. A WWII U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater with the Seabees. An active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was a volunteer for the Pastoral Care Department at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Nancy Landaiche; two brothers, "Bert" and Paul Landaiche; and three sisters, Hermence, Margaret and Anne.
Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eunice (nee Futterer) Landaiche of Joliet; three daughters, Jeanne (Henry) Cremer, Joan Landaiche and Janet (Gary) Adams; three sons, James M., John (Cathy) and Jeffrey (Christi) Landaiche; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanne Marie Veron and Nancy Kleis; one brother, Donald (Hilda) Landaiche; two sisters-in-law, Peggy (late Dr. LeRoy) Futterer and Clarita Landaiche. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for James P. Landaiche will be Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to St. John Catholic Church would be appreciated. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at:
