Obituary of Irene Langfluss

Langfluss, Irene D. Age 87, of Joliet, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday May 27, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. She was born November 17, 1924 to the late Mary (DeRocca) and John Langfluss in Joliet and was a lifetime resident. She attended St. John Grade School and Joliet Township High School. "I" retired from St. Joseph Hospital after 30 years as a Senior Physical Therapist Aide, where she lovingly mentored countless PT Aides over the years. In her younger years, Irene worked at Borden's Ice Cream Parlor, where she was fondly known as "Daisy". Irene was a wonderful woman who enjoyed conversation and her church. Survived by two cousins and many friends, including lifelong friends Felix and Barb Bulian, Ibby Elberts and Godson Timothy Stapay. Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Alice Langfluss. An acknowledgement of "special thanks" to Maria Ibarra for all of the kind, compassionate care that was given Irene. Her devotion will always be remembered. Funeral services for Irene D. Langfluss will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
