Obituary of Ronald Lavarier
Ronald Bruce Lavarier
Age 54, of Morris, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday morning, December 5, 2008, with his family at his side. He was born July 30, 1954 in Manhattan, KS. to Arlotte (Anderson) and the late William "Sonny" Lavarier, he had resided in Morris for many years and was a former Seneca resident.
He was employed by Service Gas Inc. for 16 years and was a long time member of the Grundy County Rod and Gun club, where he was past president and also served as treasurer for a number of terms. Ron enjoyed camping, but what made him most happy was spending time with his wife, daughter and granddaughters.
Beloved husband of 38 years to Stella (Szafranski); Loving father of the late Jeff Lavarier, U.S. Navy (Persian Gulf War, 1992) and Michelle Lavarier; proud grandfather of Ashley, Brittney, Sarah and Emily; dear son of Arlotte Lavarier. Also survived by two brothers and one sister, Robert (Lou Ann), Cathy (Tim) Jewett and Duane (Cyndi) Lavarier; one aunt, Burdelle Benson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his son, father, and maternal grandmother Levina Anderson.

Visitation for Ronald B. Lavarier will be Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 2 p.m. until funeral services begin at 4 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 and Deerpath Dr., Morris. As it was Ron's wish, cremation rites will follow the services with private Inurnment taking place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Morris.
