Trinidad Lerma
Age 77. Died unexpectedly Sunday, October 14, 2007 at his home. Born in Santa Cruz, Gto, Mexico, he had resided in Joliet for many years. He retired from Alumax Aluminum of Morris. Trinidad was also a Disc Jockey for over 20 years with WJRC and WJOL Spanish programs. He also DJ'd in Mexico before coming to the States. His passions included working on cars, being a history and geography buff, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed watching boxing and baseball, and was a die-hard New York Yankees fan.
Beloved husband of 44 years to Elida (nee Gutierrez); dearest son of Maria Gasca; loving father of Clara (Jesus) Hernandez, Araceli (Manuel) Tovar both of Mexico, Salvador "Chava" (Terry) Lerma, Fernando (Dianna) Lerma both of Morris and Maria Lerma of Joliet; proud grandpa of 12 and dear great-grandpa of one. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Mexico. He will also be missed by his dear friends and neighbors.
Preceded in death by his father, Jesus; an infant brother, Geronimo and several aunts and uncles.
As it was Trinidad's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 19, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association would be appreciated. All friends and relatives are invited to gather on FRIDAY from 4-6 p.m. at:
