Obituary of Dorothy Leufken

Dorothy C. Leufken Age 92. Passed away peacefully, Friday, November 19, 2010 at home. She was born May 13, 1918 in Coal City, IL. to the late William F. and Rosa (Evers) Leufken and had resided in Joliet since the age of ten. Preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William (late Phyllis) Leufken, five sisters, Rosie, Marie (in infancy), Helen (late Fred) Born, Trudy (late Courtney) Dunn and Marie Leufken. Dorothy was the beloved aunt of Norma J. (Bill) Kuriger, Diana Dunn and the late Victoria (late Edwin, Sr.) Olson. She was also a "great" aunt of several generations of great nieces and nephews, including Gary, Mark and Scott Kuriger; Vicki Lynn, Cindy, Deborah, Edwin Olson Jr. (deceased), Tony, Marcie and Blake, Marlene (Born) Samios (deceased),Helena Samios Lambke, Audra and Autumn. Dorothy attended grade school at the Cathedral of St. Raymond and graduated with the Class of 1936 at St. Francis Academy in Joliet. She retired from Kline's Department Store after many years of service. Funeral Services for Dorothy Leufken will be Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
