Francis J. Macklin
"Mac"
Age 85. Passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Mesa, AZ, he was a long time Joliet area resident. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in 1982 after 30 years of service. Member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local #851.
Preceded in death by his wife, Alice "Pudgie" Macklin (2004); his parents; and one brother, John.
Survived by two sons, Michael (Bonnie) Macklin of Iowa and John (Joan) Macklin of Plainfield; six grandchildren, Kathryn and Anne Macklin both of Orlando, FL; Brendan Macklin of Joliet, Laura (Stephen) Palmer, and Erin (Bryce) Silvey both of Indiana and Megan Macklin of Oakbrook Terrace; two sisters, Marie (Bernie) Wilda of Joliet and Polly (late Norman) Beebe of Pensacola, FL numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Francis J. Macklin will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Ambrose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials in his memory to Meals on Wheels would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at:
