Obituary of Theresa Maier

Theresa F. Maier "Ducky" Age 47. Suddenly, Saturday April 2, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center as the result of a heart attack. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A graduate of the University of Phoenix, St. Francis Academy, class of 1982 and St. Jude Catholic Grade School, where she was a teacher's aid for a number of years. Her greatest loves in life were caring for her family and educating children. Preceded in death by her parents, Bernard T. and Madonna (nee Kwatick) Maier and one brother, Thomas C. Maier. Survived by three sisters, Susan (Michael) O'Brien, Margaret "Peggy" M. Maier, Christine (Carl) Crater and one brother Dominic Maier. Nephews Cody and Jake Crater; John and Matthew O'Brien and one niece Tiffany Crater, all of Joliet. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her very best friend "Aunt" Bridget O'Brien also survive. Funeral services for Theresa F. Maier will be Thursday April 7, 2011, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Morris. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dominic E. Maier trust for his continued care would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
