Obituary of Sophie Marciniak

Sophie L. Marciniak (nee Nawara) Age 93. At peace Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born and resided in Chicago, later Horseshoe Bend, AR and Joliet. Beloved wife of the late William S. Marciniak; loving mother of Phyllis (Gerald) Schuytema, Susan (John) Feeney and William (Rebecca) Marciniak; grandmother of Peter and Jane Schuytema; special aunt to Pamela and Donna Hobbs. Survived by her loving sister, Mary Schultz; sisters-in-law, Gertrude, Theresa and Irene Nawara; brothers-in-law, Edward Zak and Richard Schultz; loved by over 50 nieces and nephews and their children. Preceded in death by her parents Wojciech and Leokadia Nawara; her sisters, Julia Cicora, Veronica Czarny, Lillian Zak, and Wanda Wolski; her brothers, Walter, Michael, Matthew, Bruno, and Ted Nawara; her sisters-in-law, Tillie and Carol Nawara, Alfreda (Irwin) Wrezinski, Alice (Joseph) Hobbs and Adeline (Edward) Nesnidal; and her brothers-in-law, Anthony Cicora, Walter Czarny, and Chester Wolski. Funeral Services for Sophie L. Marciniak will be Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 Brookforest Avenue, Shorewood where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
