Obituary of Louis Mark

Louis F. Mark "Louie" Age 70. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Advocate South Suburban Medical Center. Born in Chicago, he was a New Lenox resident for the past 26 years. Most recently ran for Mayor in April of 2007. A United States Army Veteran. Employed at Panduit Corporation; he retired from Acme Steel after over 37 years of service. Member of the United Steel Workers of America Local #1053, and was appointed Union President in 2001. A member of Tom Hartung American Legion #1977. Preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Diane Mark (1969); and his parents. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sandra "Sam" Anne Mark of New Lenox; four daughters, Luanne (Anthony) Giorgio of Plainfield, Jill (Raymond) Jones of Virginia, Carie Anne Mark of New Lenox and Rebecca Ann Mark of Texas; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial Services for Louis F. Mark will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. at the Family Harvest Church,18500 92nd Avenue,Tinley Park, IL. Pastor Mark Friend officiating. As it was Louie's final request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Inurnment with full military honors will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m..
