Obituary of Esther Mateski

Mateski, Esther L. (nee Wills) Age 99, late of Essington Place in Joliet and formerly of Crest Hill, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at Provena Villa Franciscan Nursing Home with her family at her side. Born August 17, 1913 near Morris, IL, she was the daughter of Clarence and Florence (nee DuJaric) Wills. Esther was devoted to her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived a full and active life enjoying many trips and cruises throughout the United States and Panama. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her impeccable sense of fashion. Survived by her loving daughter, Carol M. Berman of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Jaye (John) Mennella of Chicago, Jon Berman of Chicago and Jeffrey (Caroline) Berman of Arlington Heights; and four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Olivia, Samantha and Jack Berman. Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley F. Mateski (1991); her parents; five brothers and one sister. Funeral Services for Esther L. Mateski will be Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation today, Sunday 3-6 p.m. at: FRED C.
