Obituary of Danny McCallen

Danny L. McCallen Age 49. Monday, May 26, 2008 at his late residence as the result of an apparent heart attack. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. Employed at Commonwealth Edison for over 17 years as a mechanic. Formerly employed at the Rainbow Baking Company. A United Way of Will County volunteer through Commonwealth Edison. Danny was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing. Preceded by his father, Gail E. McCallen (1994); a sister, Diane McCallen, in infancy (1958); and his grandmother, Florence Ruppe. Survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cindy (nee Bolz) McCallen of Joliet; one daughter, Michelle McCallen; one son, David McCallen; and his mother, Dorett (nee Brooker) McCallen, all of Joliet. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his canine companion, Shelly, also survive. Funeral services for Danny L. McCallen will be Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Fr. Richard Ross officiating. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
