Obituary of Robert McDaniel

McDaniel, Robert C. "Bob" Age 80, of Shorewood, IL, formerly of Ramsey, IL, died on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in Joliet, IL. Bob was born on June 11, 1931, in Sycamore, IL, the son of Benjamin Frank and Alta Mae (Wilkey) McDaniel. He married Delores J. "Jean" Petty on September 1, 1961 in Decatur, IL. He was a Security Officer at Wells Fargo in Frankfort, IL and affiliated with Ramsey Christian Church, Ramsey, IL. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He is survived by one son, Roger C. (Lisa) McDaniel of Joliet; one daughter, Alanna Atkinson of Shorewood; two brothers, Edward (Barbara) McDaniel of Fort Scott, KS and Jerry (Wanda) McDaniel of Oblong, IL; two sisters, Ginger (Russ) Matar of Flint, MI and Annabelle (Robert) Lambird of Newton, IL; six grandchildren, Larry McDaniel, Leslie McDaniel, Tori Atkinson, Elijah Atkinson, Sydnee McDaniel and Bailee McDaniel; one daughter in-law, Jeanne McDaniel of Lockport, IL. Preceded in death by parents, wife, one son, Robert W. and one son-in-law, Greg Atkinson. Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Brockville Cemetery in Rural Newton, IL with Pastor Terry Sapp officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL.
