Age 89. Peacefully Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Inn at Willow Falls with her family by her side. Born in Joliet on January 28, 1923. A resident of Channahon for 48 years before returning to Joliet in 1996. Bea retired from the Joliet Medical Group Insurance Department in 1985 after many years of service. Previously employed by Dr. Andrew G. Bustin for many years. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Paulites; former member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon.
Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Leo McDonald (1990); parents, Albert and Mary (nee Schauer) Krieger; four brothers, Frank (Dorothy), Albert, Robert and Edward (Florence) Krieger; three sisters, Marian (Floyd) Drauden, Alma (Richard) McLaughlin and Dorothy (Albert) Bloch; three sisters-in-law, Olive (Daniel) Harrington, Genevieve (John) Feeney and Violet McDonald.
Survived by her two devoted daughters, Joyce (James) Bobich of Travelers Rest, SC and Lora (Patrick) McGuire of Joliet; one loving granddaughter, Molly E. McGuire of New York, NY; her sister Shirley (late Vernon) Revis of Joliet; her sister-in-law, Helen Krieger; her dear and faithful friend of sixty years Harriett (the late Mickey) McDonald of Channahon; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Beatrice McDonald will be Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka. The family would like to express its heartfelt appreciation for the care that Bea received from the staff of the Inn at Willow Falls.
