Obituary of Virginia McGowan

McGowan, Virginia M. "Jean" Age 85, of Joliet, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at her residence. Born December 10, 1926 in Joliet to the late James V. and Margaret M. (Turner) McGowan, she was raised in Lockport, attending Sacred Heart Grade School and graduating from Providence Catholic High School. Virginia worked for the United States Government. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, LaVerne P. and James V. McGowan; and one sister, Dorothy A. "Dodie" McGowan. Jean was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Funeral Services for Virginia M. McGowan will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
