Obituary of Robert Beallis

Beallis, Robert H. "Bob" Age 88. At rest Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet to the late Harold and Esther (nee Reid) Beallis. Graduate of Joliet Township High School. Mr. Beallis served three tours of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War. Retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 1985 following 32 years of service. Member of Cantigny Post VFW #367, the American Legion Post #1080, and Holy Family Catholic Church. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bernadette (nee Autero) Beallis of Joliet; three children, Cathy (James) Derry of Shorewood, Barbara (Rick) Robinson of Marseilles, and Patrick (Kelly) Beallis of New Lenox; six grandchildren, Brian (Jessica) Bertino, Sarah Derry, Michael, Donny and Alec Robinson; and Ryan Beallis; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Zachary Bertino; one brother, John "Jack" Beallis of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Robert "Bobby" Beallis, Jr.; one brother, William "Bill" Beallis. Funeral Services for Robert H. Beallis will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Our Lady of Angels Chapel for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
