Obituary of Thomas McKay

Thomas F. McKay Age 66. Suddenly, Saturday, October 10, 2009 while at work of an apparent heart attack. Born in Chicago and a Joliet resident for the past 40 years. A U. S. Army Viet Nam War veteran. Formerly employed by Western Electric of Lisle. A coach for many years for Joliet Youth baseball and football programs. Survived by two sons, Daniel (Tricia) McKay and Robert McKay, both of Joliet; two grandchildren, Daniel, Jr. and Taylor McKay; his former wife, Frances (nee Mendola) McKay; his mother, Eleanor McKay of Naperville; and two brothers, Jack and Michael McKay. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by his father, Thomas McKay. Funeral services for Thomas F. McKay will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Fr. Richard Ross officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
