Obituary of Charles Milton

Charles L. "Chuck" Milton Age 44, of Morris, passed away peacefully, with family at his side, Tuesday September 14, 2010 at the University of Chicago Hospital, after a valiant battle against Acute Mylogenus Leukemia. Born April 6, 1966 in Warren, Ohio to the late Donna P. Gelet and the late Glen E. Milton, Sr. He moved to Morris at the age of 10 years old, and attended Morris schools, graduating with the class of 1984 at Morris Community High School, where he was a member of the State Champion Redskin football team. On Valentines day in 1987, Chuck married, as he would often say, "his beautiful bride", Tracey (nee Darm) in Algonquin, IL. In addition to his wife of 23 years, he is survived by two beloved daughters, Amanda L. and Ashley A. Milton; one brother, Glen E. (Barbara) Milton, Jr.' two sisters, Sandra L. (John) Gordon and Geniffer S. Milton. Dear son-in-law of Mary Ellen (late Dean) Darm; brother -in-law of Tina M. (Ron) Marx and Tammy L. (Jeff) Milbauer. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law. He was employed at Stepan Chemical (Millsdale Rd. plant) and formerly employed at the original DuPont Chemical Plant (which transitioned to Orica and then LaRoche Chemical until closing a few years ago). A great fan of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football; he enjoyed football, baseball, golf and bags. He loved family dinners, grilling out, karaoke, the movies and serving his community as a coach and a former Saratoga school board member and past president, but above all else, spending time with his family is what Chuck Milton was all about. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 at Deerpath Dr., Morris. Funeral services will begin Friday morning, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 516 E. Jackson St. Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel cemtery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his family for future considerations, would be appreciated. The Milton family would like to thank all of those who have supported and strengthened, prayed for and provided us with comfort and courage as we journeyed with Chuck. We will always be grateful for your friendship. FRED C. DAMES FUNERAL HOME For information (815) 942-5040
