Obituary of Howard Misener

Misener, Howard W. Age 71. Passed away peacefully, Friday, April 27, 2012 at Fairview Care Centre in Joliet, IL. He was born February 11, 1941 in Morris, IL to the late Evelyn (Maier) and Gerald Misener. Howard attended Mazon High School, St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA where he received a Bachelors degree in Education, and Northern Illinois University, obtaining a Masters degree in Library Sciences. He was the beloved brother of Dolores (Arvid) Johnson, the late Mary (late Ken) Qually, Art (Mary Lou) Joe (Pat) and Kevin (Cora) Misener. Fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Howard was a lifelong educator in the area. He enjoyed playing the piano and reading. The Misener family would like to thank the staff of Fairview Care Centre for their care and compassion shown Howard throughout his stay. Funeral services for Howard Misener will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012, 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 516 E. Jackson St., Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris, IL.
