Obituary of William Molesky
William Stephen Molesky
Age 81, died peacefully on September 6, 2009. Born July 13, 1928 in Lockport, Illinois and was a lifetime resident until the past three years, where he resided in Bay City, Michigan. Bill attended St. Thaddeus Catholic Grade School, and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School with the class of 1946. He was a long time member of St. Paul the Apostle Church and prior to that a member of St. Patrick's Church. He retired in 1986 from the EJ&E Railroad where he was a draftsman for 34 years. He was an avid coin collector, a devout Catholic, a loyal Notre Dame Football fan, and loved working in his yard and garden.
He is survived in death by his loving daughters: Ramona (Michael) Singleton of Murphysboro, Illinois, Susan (Dr.Terrence) Cherwin of Bay City, Michigan, Barbara (David) Rhodes of Holiday, Florida and Virginia (Kenneth) Jozwiak of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is grandfather to six: Lynn and Michael Singleton Jr. of Murphysboro, Illinois, Justin, Nathan and Cassandra Cherwin of Bay City, Michigan and Jacob Jozwiak of Corpus Christi, Texas; step-grandfather to Elizabeth Singleton of Collinsville, Illinois and Shelly (Leroy) Scholz of Gorham, Illinois as well as great-grandfather to three and great-step-grandfather to nine. He is survived in death by cherished sister; Virginia Furman of Joliet, Illinois, one brother-in-law, Robert Petrusa of Wild Rose, Wisconsin one nephew, Robert Petrusa Jr. of New Westminster, British Columbia, six nieces, Kimberly (James) Roolf of Joliet, Illinois, Janet Furman of Chicago, Illinois, Lorrie (Donald) Miller of Metropolis, Illinois, Robin (John) Honiotes of Sycamore, Illinois, Renee Garza of Surprise, Arizona, and Tammy (Mark) Arsenault of Plainfield, Illinois, two sister-in-laws, Lorraine (Sister Ann Renee, Sisters of Providence) Maxwell of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Renee Maxwell of Estero, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife; Doris Marie (Maxwell) who died in 1985, his parents; William Vincent Molesky and Agnes Bernice (Kijowski) one sister; Bernice Petrusa of Channahon, Illinois, who died in 1984, one niece, Diane Batinger of Wild Rose, Wisconsin who died in 1997; mother-in-law, Anne (Bartok) Maxwell, father-in-law, Harold Maxwell, and one sister-in-law, Beverly Blum of Joliet, Illinois who died in 2009.
The family wishes to thank Fr. Bert Gohm, Dr. Campau, Dr. Nan Meyers, and Dr. Michael Parmer along with the care given at Brian's House and Bay Regional Medical Center Emergency Room and the staff of Four West and Three East.
Funeral Services for William Stephen Molesky will by Friday, September 11, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum.
