Obituary of Evelyn Becker

Evelyn E. Becker (nee Anderson) Age 96, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully at her home Thanksgiving evening. Born November 17, 1912 in Joliet to the late Gabriel and Anna (nee Pedersen) Anderson, she was a lifetime area resident. Preceded in death by her husband, Norbert (1996); four sisters and two brothers. Evelyn was the matriarch of her family; she leaves to cherish her memory several generations of nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her faithful canine companion "Tippy". Her family would like to acknowledge a dear friend of both Evelyn and Norbert, Martin Martinez, who has been an extremely compassionate friend and caregiver whose generosity has been amazing. They would also like to mention her other caregivers, Jan Tyner and Judy Drexel, whose kindness and compassion will always be remembered. Funeral Services for Evelyn E. Becker will be Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
