Raymond D.Muchitch
Age 68. Passed away peacefully, Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Raymond was born October 13, 1943 in Joliet, and was a graduate of St. John Grade School and Joliet Township High School. He was an active member of the Philadelphia Church of God. Retired from Ivex Paper after 43 1/2 years of service.
Ray used his knowledge of the Spanish language in his extensive travels throughout Latin America and Spanish speaking countries. He was also a semi-professional photographer, had his work published in the Joliet Herald News, and was the holder of a press card from the Associated Press.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Lou (late William) Harames and Sandra (Ralph) Worden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his parents, William and Mae (nee Fairbairn) Muchitch; and three brothers, Earl, Daniel and his twin, Donald Muchitch.
The family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding care provided by the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers of Joliet Hospice, and to especially thank his visiting nurse, Linda, and nursing assistant, Michelle.
Funeral Services for Raymond D. Muchitch will be Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Memorials to Joliet Area community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at:
