James J. Murphy Age 75. Suddenly Saturday, February 13, 2010. Retired in 1994 from the Chicago Fire Department as an engineer. Beloved husband of Mary Anne; beloved father of James P. (Barbara), Elizabeth Mesch, Catherine Mary (Nacho) Gonzalez, Shawn P. and Matthew P. Murphy II; six grandchildren, Kristina and Kathleen Mesch, Samantha and Alex Gonzalez, Jennifer and Kelly Murphy; great-grandson, Dylan Brand; dear brother of Patricia Gilmartin. Memorial service Thursday, February 18, 1:00 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd., Joliet. Inurnment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
