Obituary of Michael Musial

Michael L. Musial Age 57, of Morris, IL., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 20, 2010 after a courageous battle against cancer. He was born October 3, 1953 in Luddington, Michigan. Mike was raised in the Chicagoland area, attending St. Francis DeSalles High School and graduating from Thornton Fractional High School in Lansing. He was a longtime employee of Exelon Corporation, working out of the Warrenville office for many years. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Wilken) whom he married September 14, 1974. Loving father of Sheri Musial and Lisa (Andrew) Akre; proud grandfather of Abigail, Elizabeth and Mikayla all of Morris. Dear son of Alex and Ruth (Crawford) Musial of Lansing, IL. Fond brother of Julie (Richard) Wories, Sue (David) Gorkowski, both of Crete, IL. and Debbie (Keith) Hagan of New Mexico. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Mike loved the Lord and believed whole heartedly in power of prayer. He prayed often for family, friends and co-workers. He could be described as a positive individual who had the natural ability to encourage and instill confidence in others. He loved ministering God's word in South Africa and was there on several occasions. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 3-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Drive) in Morris. Funeral services Wednesday morning 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rich Giovannetti officiating. Interment Sample Cemetery in Morris.
