Obituary of Ricardo Pacheco SR
Ricardo Pacheco, Sr.
Age 78, of Joliet, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at Silver Cross Hospital. A graduate of Joliet Township High School. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Air Force and Navy, during the Korean Conflict. Retired from Local #444 Ironworkers, after many years of service.
An avid bowler, he was a member of the Joliet Bowlers Association for 30 years, and was past President of the Illinois Bowlers Association. He was also inducted into the Illinois and Joliet Bowling Halls of Fame. He was a member of the Joliet Elks Lodge #296, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #300, the Moran A.C., and numerous other civic clubs.
Survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Vicenta Eva (nee Ochoa) Pacheco of Joliet; his little angel, Christy; four children, Carmen (Joseph) Pacheco-Spilly, Virginia (Jose R. Perez) Pacheco, Mary Elaine (Donald) Pacheco-Hudgins and Ricardo, Jr.; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Nina (Jay) Jendrzejczyk; one brother, Marcello (Sandy) Pacheco; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by one son, David; and his parents, Ramona and Juan Pacheco.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the entire 6th floor nursing staff at Silver Cross Hospital.
Funeral Services for Ricardo Pacheco, Sr. will be Friday, April 17, 2009 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rockdale for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. both days at:
