Obituary of Connie Palacio
Palacio, Connie T.
Age 81, of Joliet, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born October 29, 1930 in Linares, Mexico, and a resident of Joliet for over 60 years. Retired from the Will County Circuit Court as a court officer with over 20 years of service. An active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Santa Cruz Churches. Connie was also an active volunteer at the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic and as a translator for people in the court system.
She was the loving mother and devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Born Concepción, she chose to be called Connie, but will also be fondly remembered as Concha, La Prieta, Abuelita and Pita.
Survived by her four children, René (Kay) Garcia, of Strongsville, OH., Leticia Garcia of Carlsbad, NM., Lynda Garcia of Joliet and Rolando (Chris) Garcia of Channahon; six grandchildren, Michael (Ashle) Garcia, James Garcia, Yasmine Garcia, Noah Garcia, Andrew Garcia and Morgan Garcia; one great-grandson, Michael Garcia; three brothers, Frederico (Lupe) Treviño, Nicolas (Angelita) Treviño, Manuel (Chavela) Treviño; one sister, Beatrice (Alberto) Peña; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Aurelio Garcia and Victor Palacio; her parents, Eusebio and Paulita (nee Peralez) Treviño; and one brother Eusebio Treviño.
Funeral Services for Connie T. Palacio will be Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Mass at 9:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Friday from 3-8 p.m. at:
