Tassia G. Paros

Age 89. At rest Monday, February 11, 2008 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. Born in Thana Tripolis, Greece, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1946, settling in the Joliet area and a resident of Northbrook, IL the past 18 years. Former owner/operator of Oriental Cleaners, Joliet, retiring in 1989. Member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church.
Surviving are three children, Demetra (Rogers) Faden of Northbrook, Pitsa (Craig) Madoch of Glenview and James (Rita) Paros of Shorewood; seven grandchildren, Eric, Benjamin and Matthew Faden; Jason and Kristin Madoch; Kevin and Brian Paros; one great-grandson, Otto Faden; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband, George P. Paros (1972); parents, Theodore and Georgia (nee Limbros) Hamilomati; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services for Tassia G. Paros will be Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church for funeral services at 9:30 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her name to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church or the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 4-9 p.m. with Trisagion Services at 6:30 p.m. at:
