Obituary of Helene Parthun

Helene J. Parthun (nee Nowosielski) Age 87, of Joliet, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born January 9, 1921 in Joliet to Joseph and Mary (nee Stoch) Nowosielski, she was a graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1939. Employed with the State of Illinois as a secretary in Joliet for many years. Happily married for 61 years to her devoted husband, Gilbert; also surviving are her brother, Walter Nowosielski of Joliet; nephews and niece, Dan (Mary Beth) Maloney of Joliet, Jerome (Eileen) Maloney of Alsip, James Maloney of Joliet and Joyce (Stan) Smith of Shorewood; one sister-in-law, Louise (late Clarence) Parthun of Joliet; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Andrew Nowosielski and Stanley (Rita) Nowosielski; and one sister, Lottie (Joseph) Maloney. Funeral Services for Helene J. Parthun will be Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
