Obituary of Alice Passas

Alice Passas (nee Skiniotes) Age 82. At rest July 11, 2007 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, with family by her side. Alice was born May 9, 1925 in Joliet and a New Lenox Resident for over 50 years. Member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. Retired from Grants Hardware in New Lenox. Worked at Braun Sales for 17 years. Surviving are two loving sons, George P. (Catherine) Passas, and Peter Passas and Polly Kirk, all of New Lenox; one grandson, Peter John (Lisa) Passas of Channahon; two great grandsons, Jonathan and Nathan; one sister, Irene Heitzman of Shorwood; two brothers, John Skiniotes and Jim (Geri) Skiniotes of New Lenox; sisters-in-law, Margie (Jim) Walsh of Joliet, Margo Passas of Bolingbrook and Marina Passas of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Peter Passas (2005); her father, George Skiniotes (1969); her mother Mary (Kapellas) Skiniotes (1934); her brother, Nick (1977); three brothers-in-law, John Heitzman (1996), James Passas (2004) and Steve Passas (1993); one sister-in-law, Rita (Colognesi) Skiniotes (2006). Special thanks to her caregiver, Lucy and to Jan and Kathy from Hospice. Private funeral services for Alice Passas were held July 14, 2007. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
