Virginia M. Paul
(nee Miller)
Age 89, died peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. She was a Shorewood resident for over 60 years, most recently at The Timbers of Shorewood. Born August 2, 1919 in Jackson Township, Will County.
Survived by two sons, Steve and John (Andrea) Paul; three grandchildren, Jodi (Randy) Hicks, Michael (Tammy) Paul and Nancy (Carl) Deliman; seven great-grandchildren, Brett, Dillon, and Jason Hicks; Abigail and Jonathan Paul; and Lauren and Ryan Deliman; five sisters, Hazel (late Joe) Partak, Lucille (late Eddie) Phelan, Ruth Ann (late Bob) Campbell, Kathleen (Norman) Glenn, and Lois (Leo) Bernhard; one brother, Jim (Mickey) Miller; special niece, Julie (Tom) Sicinski; two brothers-in-law, Sam (Eileen) Paul, and Jack (Cook) McGuire; sister-in-law, Margie (Bill) Horwath; numerous nieces, nephews, and her good friends at The Timbers, Gladys McGrath her cousin, and Julia Snider.
Preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Frances (nee Wilhelmi) Miller; her husband, Raymond E. Paul (1991); one sister, Marilyn "Mitzi" McGuire; and two brothers, Harold and Don Miller.
Funeral Services for Virginia M. Paul will be Monday, August 18, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park chapel, with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation MONDAY 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at:
