Obituary of Phyllis Petrella

Petrella, Phyllis M. (nee Donaldson) Age 81. At rest, January 19, 2012 at her home with family at her side. Born June 17, 1930 in Ivanhoe, MN. Lifelong resident of the Joliet area. Graduate of Plainfield High School Class of 1948. Survived by Antonio, her husband of 59 years; children, Stephen (Debi), Bradley (Mary), Diane Habas (Paul), Margaret Lorenz (Mark); grandchildren, Laurica, Matthew, Philip, Elyse, and Kristin; her sisters, Audrey (Robert) St. Clair; Arlene Slattery, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including from Minnesota the Bernaciak Family, Dennis, Douglas, and Mary Jane Wingen. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Habas; birth parents, Roy and Mathilda (Krause) Donaldson; sisters, Dorothy, Ione, Marie; and brother , Raymond; adoptive parents. Wanda and Michael Bernaciak. Member of St. Anne's CCW and VFW Cantigny Post Women's Auxiliary. Retired from the business office at Lockport Township High School. Phyllis loved to watch her grandchildren play sports and perform in various theatrical performances and recitals. She was all about the grandchildren and loved watching them grow as much as they loved being with her. Funeral Services for Phyllis M. Petrella will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Anne Catholic Church, Crest Hill, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, Romeoville.
