Obituary of Frances Plunge

Frances M. Plunge (nee Gigliette) Age 92. Passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at her daughter's Bradley home. Born in Joliet to the late Joseph and Maria (nee Mancuso) Gigliette, she was a graduate of Joliet Township High School. She was employed at Silver Cross Hospital, Boston Store, and Illinois Bell Telephone. Following her retirement, she moved to Bradley, IL. She was an avid bingo player, who loved to play cards and also bake. Frances never met a stranger, she was always helping people until she could no longer do so. She enjoyed being with her family. Survived by her children, Mariann F. (late Bill) Williams of Bradley, Edward (Rose Marie) Plunge of Mesquite, NV and Adam R. (Connie) Plunge of Essex, IL; and a special daughter, Martha Murphy of Bradley; nine grandchildren, Robert (Lisa) Williams, Francine (Russ) Denoyer, Christine (Doug) Wheeler, Sandra (Scott) Reeves, Jeanette Williams-Roger, Michelle Plunge-Linc, Adam Paul (Dawn) Plunge, Richard Plunge and Edward (Karen) Plunge; 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph (Jean) Gigliette of Joliet; three sisters, Rose Auten, Josephine (Richard) Beebe and Virginia Gigliette all of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, whom she married in 1934, Adam M. Plunge (1990); one son-in-law, Bill J. Williams; one great-great-grandson, Mitchell Genotte; three brothers, Victor and Santo; and four sisters, Eleanor Baitinger, Margaret Wilhelmi, Mary Ann Betts, and Rose Gigliette in infancy. Funeral services for Frances M. Plunge will be Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
