Pullara, Bernard J., Sr.
"Bernie"
Age 72, of Joliet, passed away, Monday, March 05, 2012, at Silver Cross Hospital. Born October 7, 1939, in Joliet. Graduated from Joliet Township High School Class of 1957. He was known in the "Soup Bone Neighborhood" of Joliet as "Puck". He served in the United States Army from 1963-1965. Bernie was a concrete finisher by trade. Member of Finishers Local 11. Bernie was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, bowling and watching movies. He was a kind and generous man throughout his life. His thoughtful nature will be missed by all who knew him.
Survived by his son, Bernie, Jr. (Cindy) Pullara of Marseilles; grandchildren, Haley, Scotty, Madison, Bernie III, and Katarina Pullara all of Marseilles; brother, Paul (Cheryl) Pullara of Minooka; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Tanner; his parents, Peter and Rose (nee Trizzino) Pullara; and his brother, Peter Pullara.
Funeral Services for Bernard J. Pullara will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Anthony for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2-8 p.m. at:
