Jacqueline J. Quillman
(nee Ryan)
Age 83. Passed away Friday, September 14, 2007 at Provena Pine View Care Center in St. Charles, IL. Born in Chicago on November 6, 1923, she was a long time Joliet area resident. Member of Judson Memorial Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center since 1989, where she was named "Someone Special" in volunteering. She also volunteered for the United Way of Will County. A member of the National Exchange Club, her name was recorded in the "Book of Golden Deeds". Member of the Kings Daughters and Sons since 1989, and a member of the Lambda Sigma Tau Sorority. In 1999, along with her member volunteers, had sewn 4,500 "coughing pillows" for those patients who had undergone bypass surgery.
Preceded in death by her husband, Roy William Quillman; her father, John H. Ryan; mother and stepfather, Florence C. (nee Rolfe) and John B. Collier.
Survived by her daughters, Jane A. Farkas of Aurora and Diane E. Vasica of Elgin; grandchildren, Joshua (Amber) Farkas; and James and Carrie Vasica; stepbrother, John Collier; her cousin, Pearl C. (Walter) Strankowski; and three nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Jacqueline J. Quillman will be Tuesday, September 18 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel Rev Kevin Comfort officiating. Interment Plainfield Township Cemetery. Memorials in her name to the American Cancer Society or Judson Memorial Baptist Church would be appreciated. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at
