Beatrice "Peg" Race
(nee Klee)
Passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 4, 1925 in Atlantic Mine, MI; residing most of her life in Joliet. Peg was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. A devoted wife and mother, she was a dedicated homemaker and an avid Cubs fan.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carlyle Race (1987); one son, William Race (1969); parents, William and Clara (nee Ohlrich) Klee; one brother, Wesley Klee and one sister, Lorinda (John) O'Brien.
Survived by one son, Bob Race of Joliet; two daughters, Sandi (Chris) Breitbarth of Joliet and Robin Race (Jeff) Wagner of Eugene, OR; two grandchildren, Klee Galligan of Joliet and Derian Breitbarth of Joliet; one brother, David Klee of Wisconsin; one sister, Eunice (Jack) Williams of Wisconsin; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Peg Race will be Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Pastor Karl Hess officiating. Interment Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park II. Visitation WEDNESDAY 5-7 p.m. at:
