Age 51. Suddenly Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center following an apparent heart attack. Born in Joliet, she was a lifelong Joliet area resident. A devoted Sunny Hill Nursing Home employee for the past eleven years where she loved, and was loved by residents, staff and family members. Margarita was a caring, helpful, cheerful and loving person, whose laughter was unmistakable, and who will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Preceded in death by one son, Antonio Ramirez, in infancy; her parents, Francisco and Delfina (nee Pena) Sanchez; two brothers, Roy and Marcellino Sanchez; and one sister, Victoria Magana.
Survived by her loving daughter, Teresa Ramirez of Joliet; five beloved sons, Miguel of Colorado, Jesus, Alfredo Jr., Jose, and Frankie Ramirez all of Joliet; three grandchildren, Destiney, Se'ena, and Lillian; three brothers, James (Susana) Sanchez of Joliet, Michael (Darla) Sanchez of Wilmington, and Juan Sanchez of Chicago; one sister, Virginia Castor of Texas; and Godson, Jonathan Sanchez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Margarita Ramirez will be Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 409 Irving Street, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at:
