Obituary of Mercedes Ramirez

Mercedes M. Ramirez (nee Macias) Age 64, of Rockdale, was called to rest on Friday, February 12, 2010 at home with her family by her side. Mercedes was a devoted wife, a great mother and a beloved grandmother to her ten grandchildren, who were her little angels. Always happy and smiling, her life revolved around her family, and she was an example of the perfect wife and mother. She will also be remembered as an exceptional seamstress and cook. Survived by her beloved husband, Antonio Ramirez; children, Maria Luisa Ramirez, Gloria Ramirez (Bryan) White, Silvia Ramirez, Anthony Ramirez, and Sarah (Jason) Hill; grandchildren, Luisa Ramirez; Kristi, Anthony, Joshua, and Matthew White; Jacob Ramirez; Julia, Grace, Lilly, and Emma Hill; siblings, Jose Macias, Miguel Macias, Guadalupe Soto, Martin Macias, Cristobal Macias, Lourdes Hurtado, Maria Saavedra, Juan Macias, and Bertha Barocio. Preceded in death by one son, Joseph Ramirez; parents, Martin and Maria (nee Gonzalez) Macias; two sisters, Antonia Macias and Josephina Macias; and one brother, Ruperto Macias. Funeral Services for Mercedes M. Ramirez will be held Monday, February 15, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
