Obituary of Mary Reed

Reed, Mary E. (nee Maierhofer) Age 73, suddenly passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her late residence. Born in Joliet to the late Harold (1969) and Ida Mae (Dagon) Maierhofer (1982). She was a lifelong resident. Retired as a receptionist from the office of Dr. William F. Bevan III, formerly employeed by Orthopedic Surgeons Limited. Mary was a lifelong member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus and her passions included travel and music. Survived by two sisters; Jeanne (late Edward) Mance of Crest Hill and Ann (Arthur) Vaksdal of Joliet; her special friend, Rita (Jeffrey) Olson of Plainfield; dear aunt of Robert (Beth) Colvin, Sherri (Richard) Morgan, David Vaksdal, James (Trudi) Vaksdal and Kristina Hernandez; numerous great nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by her husband and the love of her life, James C. Reed (1989); her parents; sister Phyllis Colvin (1997) and niece, Susan J. Colvin (1998). Funeral services for Mary E. Reed will be Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum.
