Obituary of Mary Rehak

Mary L. Rehak (nee Nixon) Age 88. Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet and a lifetime area resident. Former owner/operator of Rehak Grocery; and was a baker for many years at Southern Fried Bakery. Past President and member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Mother's Club and Ss. Cyril Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed candy making, crafts, dancing and reading. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Edward G. Rehak (1999); parents, Burt E. and Viola Mae (nee Simpson) Nixon; one son, George J. Rehak and one daughter, Joan Rehak; one sister Roberta (Burt) Kelly. Survived by her children, Gerald R. (Janet) Rimmele Sr. of Minooka, Mary L. (Joseph) Jamerson, Joanette (Darrell) Morgan, and Edward J. Rehak; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Bud Nixon; numerous nieces and nephews and her lifelong special friends, Robert and Rose Stromberg, and Adeline "Ethel" (late Edward) Bodine. Funeral Services for Mary L. Rehak will be Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery.
