Ricciardi, Cheryl C.
(nee Lee)
Age 62, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Joliet on September 17,1950, she was a resident of Morris for the past 30 years.
Cheryl worked as a teacher for several years before earning her Master's Degree in School Social Work. After graduating, Cheryl was employed by Plainfield School District as a school social worker for 17 years. She will be most remembered for her selflessness and her dedication and devotion to her family, friends and to all of the students whose lives she touched.
Surviving are her loving husband of 41 years, Rick Ricciardi of Morris; daughter, Amber Ricciardi of Seattle; daughter, Leah (Steve) Sinclair of Minooka; beloved grandson, Maddox Sinclair of Minooka; her father, Dick Lee of Shorewood; and her brother, Tim Lee of Shorewood.
Preceded in death by her mother, Gerry Lee and her brother, Ricky Lee.
A visitation for Cheryl C. Ricciardi will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Cremation Rites will be accorded following visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor to either Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated; or a gesture of kindness to a friend, neighbor, or someone in need.
