Obituary of Harvey Richards

Harvey E. Richards Age 59, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 4, 2012 after a long illness, which he valiantly fought. Born December 27, 1952 in Joliet to Dorothy (nee Malnar) and the late Harvey Richards, he was a lifetime Joliet resident. He retired from the Illinois/CN Railroad after 35 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Judy (nee Thayer) Richards; cherished and devoted lifetime friends, his sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Rick Mitok; loving sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Bob Blondis; his mother, Dorothy; mother-in-law, Geri (late Don) Thayer; granddaughter, Christina Richards; son, Keith; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many great friends. Funeral Services for Harvey will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services.
