Age 84. Passed away peacefully, at home, Saturday April 23, 2011. Born September 17, 1926, she was a lifelong Joliet resident. Graduated from Joliet Township High School and Gregg Business College in Chicago. Member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. Member and past President of the Daughters of Penelope, Will-Grundy Medical Society, Provena Saint Joseph Auxiliary, Visitation and Aid Society, Joliet Area Community Hospice Guild, past Board Member of St. Joseph Hospital College of Nursing. Volunteer for Will-Grundy Medical Clinic and Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Daughter of the late James and Helen Deimer, and wife of the late Dr. Stanley Rousonelos.
Survived by seven children, Dean (Tracey), James (Judy), Stanley, Elaine, William (Cindy), Kathryn (Robert) Rotach and Thomas (Angie); 13 grandchildren, Jenna, Kailey, Eleni, Stacey, Stanley, Lukas, Niko, Nicole Nola, Stephanie, Richie, Thomas, Alexander, and Dimitri; four great-grandchildren, Allison Nola, Jacob, Liesel, and Eliana; one brother, Theodore (Katherine) Deimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Nola Rousonelos will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church for services at 9:30 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund, Will-Grundy Medical Clinic, or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Trisagion Services at 8:00 p.m. at:
