Obituary of Anne Ruter

Anne Ruter Age 94, died peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, three days after suffering a stroke at home. She was surrounded at death by her loving children, Henry (Lynda) Ruter, Jr. of Brightwaters, NY and Diane (Rev. Rodney) Juell of Joliet. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew (Jeanette) Juell of Joliet, Michael Juell of Aurora, IL and Amanda Ruter of Brightwaters, NY; one brother, Ed Stencil of Medford, OR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (1993). Born in Plains, PA, she lived most of her life on Long Island and in Florida before moving to Joliet five years ago to live with her daughter and family. The family is grateful to the staff of the Joliet Area Community Hospice for the dignity they provided Anne in her dying, and for their loving and compassionate support. Memorials may be directed to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Mill Neck Manor Lutheran School for the Deaf in Mill Neck, NY. Inurnment of cremains will be beside her husband in the Florida National Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be conducted in August. Arrangements by: FRED C.
