Obituary of Irene Sallese

Irene M. Sallese (nee Martin) Age 78. Passed into the Lord's Hands on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Born May 14, 1932 in Joliet, she was a graduate of St. Francis Academy and a lifelong area resident. Irene was a member of the Paulites of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and many prayer groups. She loved gardening and watching things grow. Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. and Teresa E. (nee Walsh) Martin; her sister, Rita Dahl; and numerous aunts and uncles. Survived by her children, Mary (Norman) Kramer of Buffalo Grove, Margaret Corp of Joliet, and Anthony (Amie) Sallese of Minooka; their father, Anthony R. Sallese; and her grandchildren Joan Kramer, Daniel and Thomas Corp, and Megan and Justin Moses. Also survived by her good friend Jim Dietz, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Funeral Services for Irene M. Sallese will be Friday, August 27, 2010 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan.
