Obituary of Mary Scaccia

Mary Ann Scaccia (nee Fazio) Age 88. Passed away peacefully Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born September 8, 1923 in Joliet to the late Antonino and Maria (nee Pecararo) Fazio, she was a lifetime area resident. Lifetime parishioner of the Church of St. Anthony. Member of the Ladies Altar & Rosary Society. Mary Ann was employed for many years with the DeSoto Chemical Company and also volunteered for many years at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Surviving are her sons, Arthur J. (Susan) Scaccia and Jerome F. (Vivian) Scaccia; grandchildren, Anna Marie Scaccia, Jacqueline (Andrew) Noteman, Arthur J. Scaccia, Jr., Nora (Michael) Yugo Scaccia and Jerome F. Scaccia, Jr.; two great-granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia Noteman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by her husband, Arthur E. Scaccia; her parents; five brothers and four sisters. Funeral Services for Mary Ann Scaccia will be Monday, April 30, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Church of St. Anthony for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Friends of Sunny Hill would be appreciated.
